Actually started watching it again recently as I hadn't really watched it since it's original run when I was a kid and the reruns in the late 90's. Some cracking humor in there!

Ex RTE Newsreader Don Cockburn.

Back in 2 channel land, it was either him or Charles Mitchel reading the news, I dont remember anyone else from that era. RIP Don.

Frank Vincent, actor.

For those of ye who remember the YBIG fanzines and their handy away trip local phrase guides -

He played Billy Batts in Goodfellas, as in, the lad who tells Joe Pesci to ''Go home & get yer fcuking shinebox''

Probably better known as Phil Leotardo in The Sopranos though, or that badly timed Permanent TSB Ad, in which he was a Leotardo type character trying to sell mortgages just before the recession hit.

One of the best movie lines of all time - go home and get your f**kin shine box.

RIP Frank.

Always the same character in the gangster flicks but was perfect for it.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.
