Possibly have but I was more thinking in terms of the players they had: Zenga, Bergomi, Brehme, Matthaus, Klinsmann etc.

Winning The 1996/97 2. Bundesliga and then winning the 1997/98 Bundesliga immediately after promotion is a pretty unique story. He didn't play many games in 1998, but still.

Lots of Germans played for Inter during the late 80's and early 90's.

I saw Lautern play the opening game of the season away at FC Koeln - Brehme I think was captain that day, Otto Rehhagel the manager. FC fans thought they'd win against a promoted side - Ended up 0-0.
