Was never a big Aslan fan but I ready Christys autobiography when it came out. Have to feel for the man, had such a hard life right until the very end. Hopefully hes at peace now.

From reading that book, I don't know how he made it this long.

A serious argument to be made that he was the best Irish male vocalist.

Luke Kelly.

Christy’s rendition of the Green Fields of France on the late late would bring a tear to a glass eye.  Beautiful.

Unbelievable singer. Didn't know until I read his book that he was classically trained.

Like most I've seen Aslan multiple times over the years from local pubs to the Olympia and the Iveagh Garden gigs which were great.

I know they tried and failed to replace Christy in the 90's so can't see it happening again bar maybe Kiera or other well know singers stepping in for tribute / cancer fund raising gigs.

Yeah they'll probably call it a day though Don Mescall did a good job stepping in when Christie was first sick and they released a charity single "Catch your fall".
