They are two different people? It's Sidney Poitier. Maybe I'm missing something

I read Poitier's autobiography, not a great book overall. But I really enjoyed his earlier years especially his life on the island as young lad. He was practically illiterate too and a cafe owner helped him learn properly when he was 17. How he got into acting is remarkable, he had some very lucky breaks.
