Don't hear of too many rugby players murdering 5 people because of concussion. Unless it's all ahead of us!

I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

There has been a precedent for NFL players killing themselves, but they don't kill anyone else and their age range is generally mid-fifties to mid-sixties. There was a wrestler aged 40 who committed familicide, which was blamed on concussions, but there were stories about him being an oddball long before he lost the plot.

Brain injuries are the norm not the exception in this sport. Most NFL players have a lot of problems when they quit, with numerous dysfunctions afflicting individuals who often have a natural aggressiveness in them anyway which is a boon on the football field but a handicap off it. There is big money in the game for those good enough to play in the NFL but an incredibly high percentage of retired players end up broke within a few years. Others turn to drink, drugs, crime etc and wind up in jail. The helmets and body armour can't protect against some of the hits these guys have to take during their playing careers.

How many professional players are retired and have access to guns. Rugby is only in its infancy when it comes to to the impact of concussion. The helmet also makes it worse in nfl. That combined with access to firearms means it’s not really comparable with rugby players

That must be one of the great Irish lines. He was an oddball before he lost the plot 😀😀. The link between some of the multiple murders by nfl players and concussion is irrefutable at this stage. However it is a case by case basis and the autopsy will tell a lot as they will be able to see if his Brian was severely damaged in the key areas.

That screams CTE. I recall the NFL previously saying they’d support players post retirement. What is actually happening? This would suggest other. I wonder if an autopsy is carried out to look for CTE.
