Very durable up until the last 2 seasons really, but age may be catching up.

Very interesting career trajectory - 78 LOI Apps (UCD, Pats, Shams), 75 PL Apps (Villa, Sheff Utd), 135 Championship Apps (Doncaster, Sheff Utd), 30 League One Apps (Notts Co, Doncaster) and  94 League Two Apps (Northampton, Portsmouth)

Not sure if true or not, but I read he was out of contract in the summer. I'd say it's doubtful he gets a renewal if that's the case. Difficult to see him getting any more caps tbh. We have a lot of very good young left backs coming through (weirdly very few right backs).

Sheff Utd aren't in the Play-Offs.

2 games isn't enough for Stevens to get back in the Ireland squad either. It's good to see him back but he needs a proper run of games to prove he can get fully fit & stay fit.
Given he's 33 now & his injury record over the last 3 years though I think his time in an Ireland shirt is past.

Thought he played well overall after he got some help with Benson. He was a good offensive outlet.

No chance unless there's injuries. Even then I think Farrugia might get in before Stevens.

When we have Brady, McClean & Manning all starting regularly (Manning & Brady playing very well). O'Dowda in the mix as well. Stevens needs to prove he can stay fit & get a run of starts. He might not even start any of the next 3 games.

Or Kenny will pick a player he likes and has played since taking over the job. More chance a half fit Stevens starts over Manning who isn't really fancied by Kenny.

Has already said no experimenting will really happen so doubt Farrugia gets called up and Andy Lyons would probably be ahead of him too.

Kenny has recently stated that he see's more potential with Farrugia than Lyons, and I'd agree with him on that. I reckon both will play for the seniors, but I think Farrugia could actually be an important player. He has the pace and physicality of McClean coupled with excellent close control, tailor made for a higher level.

And he might see Farrugia as more of a winger, where he played for the U21s than a wingback like Ogbene and Ebosele.

That's a great shout to be fair, Farrugia is one of the best equipped players to succeed at a higher level that I've seen in a long time in the LOI. I think he'd have got a big move already if not for the injuries.
