I don't think Trap will let him roam free on the right anyway. I can see him having a fit on the sideline if he passes the halfway line.

Some lads getting very excited over one good performance against a 4th tier team. Give him the Captians armband and the freedom of Donegal while you are it sure.

Big season for the lad. An understandable drop in performance last season given the high level of performance in his first season. Needs to make a serious break through or run the risk of being parked off to a lesser club for regular game time. When he gets a game like last night he needs to put down a serious marker and make it difficult for Moyes to ignore his first team claims.

coleman would play more at right back if he was any use at it but he cant defend, came on as a sub against liverpool in semi final at right mid but basically told to protect the lead and help out at the right back, gave away a stupid free in a dangerous area which lead to the goal, i believe this one error cost him his place at the euro's as trap saw enough in that one passage of play to prove he couldnt be trusted. going forward he offers loads and gets involved but defensively unless he improves he wont be a right back any time soon for ireland under trap

I wouldn't be giving you the captain's armband on a maths team anyway.

Prefer to see him right wing. He can be suspect at full back. He's more of an attacker than a defender.

+1

Atleast he's starting though on a positive note.

Great that he's starting - at least he's still in Moyes' plans.

Delighted to see him starting, hopefully he can impress and give Moyes a headache for next week.

I see him as a full back good at going forward. Would love him to nail down right back for Everton and break into the Ireland team.
