Pretty sure Carlsberg still have spots (or they did a couple of weeks ago). Decent enough deal compared to hotel prices.

Myself and my son are travelling by motorbikes - Holyhead-Hull-Rotterdam-Magdeburg-Poznan. It will work out more expensive than a car or probably flying, but part of the holiday is the road trip.

Just got the email yesterday confirming that I have tickets for all 3 games - restricted view for Croatia and Spain, but beggars can't be choosers  Wink

The price is based on vehicle size. doesnt matter how many people are in it !

Obviously if you have 20 people hanging off the roof calcutta style they might raise eyebrows but when you book the price is based on the vehicle not number of passengers !

Had a quick look there now and you can still get if for £86 ( flexi open return ) meaning if you're in bits and don't make your crossing you can hang back and go later Wink

I still would estimate it would work out much more expensive. Petrol, petrol and more petrol.

Not too sure. We have 5 in a car which gives £90 each for the ferry return. We have fuel costs to Hull and then from Rotterdam to Poznan. All travel within the country costs the price of the fuel, no need for trains here and there. We can stay outside the towns where the game is on and then drive in near for the match days. Also gives a lot of freedom in movement for spontaneous trips etc. I have heard flights are cheaper than i was expecting so could be worth considering, maybe rent a car out there.

LJackeen is that Dover Calais price for car and 4 passengers? I'll be in a camper so would be a little more expensive.

Also the ferry from hull Rotterdam Was great craic last time and also would prob save you minimum 120€ diesel

Doing the same route mate except we're flying from Dublin to London and then taking le tunnel to Calais. Could have only 4-5 driving in us on the Thursday night so Dortmund is looking like the ideal place to stop.

Hi,

First time driving from Ireland to one of the major competitions. looking around but cant find info on many people driving direct from Ireland to Poznań. Looking to find out the route in which people are thinking of taking? the est cost and any additional advice that a first timer wouldn't have thought on but would need to know!

im sailing rosslare-cherbourg driving to berlin then poznan.
use google maps Thumbs Up very helpful for directions, route planning and estimating fuel cost.
any advice would depend on what you are driving and how much room you have to bring stuff (bring camping gear, and search google for a festival survival checklist, most things on that list will apply to travelling).

PM me there if you want advice on getting the ferry or anything else you're wondering about, travelled around the continent a few times so might be some help.
