I watched it for the first time last year, timeless. Will give it another spin at the weekend.

Uncle Lewis is so underrated in that movie. He arrives way too late in the movie.

Great call. The extra judicial beating Mel Gibson hands out to Gary Busey is something else. I never understood why the cops didn’t step in.

Surprised the writers didn't emphasise the Christmas aspect of the movie by having Gibson strangle Busey with the Christmas lights.

If you liked Bill Forsyth's films Local Hero and Gregory's Girl, then give Comfort and Joy a watch.
It's an ever so slightly surreal comedy drama about two families feuding over ice cream. I love it. Always watch it at his time of year. Edited by ErsatzThistle - 18 Dec 2019 at 4:08pm |
