And I'm sure there's women out there who objectify men. Let's not pretend that it's a one way street.

Some boy trying to act the big white knight looking for likes and praise.

Or a man who sees women as equals and is not afraid to call it out when he sees it. Are you familiar with Philips work.

As do I. However men talk about women. Women talk about men. Men are visual- it's in our DNA, therefore we often talk about women and may objectify them. That is nature. We are visual. Of course there are limits to what can be said and in such circumstances saying thats enough is to be expected. Women also talk about men. The way things are going even saying she has a great set or something would see you hanged by the feminists. It's gone mad. And I feel liberal myself. Pro repeal the 8th, pro same sex marriage.
Walters coming back from an offside position but Shane Long was definitely onside- Shane Lonnggggggg.... has done it!!!!

And that should be called out too. It's not a battle of gender.

Seems that a lot of comment from some men is sex is something you do to the woman rather than with. Coyne's comment is prime example.

Let's be honest, Baldie, do you think she was hired for her journalistic ability or her looks? This is SSN we're talking about, the whole MO was to hire attractive girls to front their coverage so that their target audience (Loaded readers mainly) would leer at them.

Good luck to her, it sounds like she wanted to do something other than just look pretty on screen and Sky weren't prepared to let her do that.

Come off it, that's not a very fair comment. Men are visual, this is nature. Therefore we tend to see ceetain women body parts as highly desireabe. We then talk about them. Women are not so visual. Partly because they don't need an erection to have sex. Women want us to behave like women when we are not. We are built completely different.

What's unfair about it. It's to do with the language used in whatsapp groups and online. Obviously there is nothing wrong admiring a woman visually. But look at coynes comment as an example. It goes beyond that.

By the way. Some posters have said women comment the same way so are calling double standards.    Now you are saying the opposite and are saying that we are built differently and comment on the visual. Which is it.

Is it not possible to admire someone's beauty but also be respectful to them as a person. Of course it is but many people don't.

I said women are not as visual. Of course they are visual to a certain degree but nowhere near as much as us. Another thing is male bravado and ego. Again a natural in built instinct. It permeates all aspects of life- fair enough saying something more like she is gorgeous with a cracker body is a lot more acceptable than some other comments but how long before that becomes taboo as well.

Good point (It was made on the podcast though!).

But seriously, so much of the way men talk about sex sums up that attitude and when you examine it, it is horrible.

Eg, "I'd destroy her, plough her, smash her", etc.

You don't have to assume offence on behalf of womankind. There seems to be a race to see who can be the most right on.

I remember on the LSL forum back in the day, there was a thread similar to battle of the babes on here but filled with Facebook pics of local non celeb girls. The voting system was the same. A girl I know found out her pics were featured and she was delighted. She set up a heap of profiles to ensure extra votes were going her way and try to get herself through to the latter stages of the contest. She was fuming when she was knocked out.
