But you aren't our rivals...

Fair play, you are happy with Cooke and he is happy at Sligs. But the expectation at Rovers is a bit higer - especially in Europe. Seems like a decent skin as well.

Is happy at Drogheda by all accounts

Big smile LOL Clap

Dont know how you work that out. Every team in each division has a rivalry with every other team.

Rivals are teams we have a rivalry with. You are just a team we play and a trip we enjoy.

Ye got to the Europa League group once (fair play) and now ye have this really high European expectation. Come on man. Consistent group qualification then fair enough, this could quite easily be a one off.

Cook's record in Europe is wojus. Appaling. It has nothing to do with group stages, it has to do with not getting hammered by an Albanian side trying to lose.

Like the chap, like his approach, but winning titles demands an element of tactical nous. What is Sligs plan B when the passing off the park approach fails?

Don't think he suits yer style at all, habit of panicking whe he's on the ball. Was never any good for us but seems to have improved a lot.

Neither, IMHO, are of Premier standard though the former is still young so plenty of time to improve.

Clarke returns to Pats from Sligo so Saints continuing practice of swapping keepers like Ryan for Rogers back in '08.

Confused

1. One who attempts to equal or surpass another, or who pursues the same object as another; a competitor.
2. One that equals or almost equals another in a particular respect.

Agree, saw him when he was with Belvo as a schoolboy and thought he'd a great touch but very slight and lightweight.

I'm sure from U17 to now he's bulked up a bit but lots of kids like him impressed over the years but can't hack the rough and tumble of LOI.

As an aside, his old man was a scourge on the line LOL

good shot stopper. made 2 of the best saves i've ever seen (home to bray in injury time last season and save from baker header in cup semi season before last.) improved greatly when he first joined. would class him as a confidence player. if you a relying on him behind a suspect defence then you are fcuked. kick outs need to be improved

I understand contrived rivalry, when one club decides that their main rivals are another club, while the other club couldn't care less. Honestly, Bohs, Pats, Shels, Cork, UCD, Drogs Dundalk, Waterford, Limerick and Linfield would be far more of a rivalry than Sligs. You are there with Bray.

He did in his arse. Rovers played at least 4 different formations depending on the opposition and tactics shifted depending on the opponent. Even the most bitter Bozo will acknowlege he had a different approach to Europe than he did the league, and we played a very different style against Galway than we did Derry.
