Yeah great day for the sport. A French lad tried to take a Welsh man's eye out.

What great sportsmen

Some surprises in the Lions squad
Bundee Aki for example.

I think injury concerns cost sexton a spot

No Ellis Genge or Kyle Sinckler? Think you need a few headcases especially when it comes to the rough stuff that South Africa will no doubt be up for.

The centres selected are journeyman Chris Harris, Bundee Aki and Henshaw.

Henshaw has had a great season to be fair but if they are the best centres in the Northern hemisphere outside France then something is seriously wrong!

Definitely the centre picks are surprising I'd say journeyman is a bit harsh. Henshaw on his day is one of the best centres in Northern Hemisphere so I don't think his inclusion was a surprise. Aki and Harris I think are there for pure power and line breaking over anything else you'd say.

I'd also wonder if there were certain players who asked to omitted due to Covid concerns.

Only 3 dedicated centre too is a surprise though of course Farrell will more then likely play Inside centre and the likes of Daly and Watson are capable of playing centre too if needs be.

The majority of the squad is just bash-merchants. Gonna be a grim enough series of games I'd say.

Bundi Aki is the most Gatland pick ever. Ringrose, Sexton and Earls probably can feel a little aggrieved. I get the argument about Sextons age and durability, but you'd trust him more than the other 10s to come off the bench and make an impact.

Yeah like I understand the importance of trying to match their physicality but you need some guile in there too surely. As it is seems like he's trying to beat them at their own game and there's only likely to be one winner if that's the case.

Yeah. Great achievement. The result of a lot of hard work in the last few years that had the end goal of Olympics qualification so to achieve it is very rewarding.
Lets see how we actually get on now!

Yeah given we aren't big on the 7's side of the game, it's a great achievement for the team.

It was a defeat France weren't expecting for sure. But all the games at The Olympics will be tough ones.
