Sam Prendergast with a solid debut for Leinster today, looks like he could be the heir apparent to Sexton, albeit after Byrne gets a run for a year or two.

Why don't Leinster go for the drop goal?

Flutering around for the last 5+ mins and a drop goal would have won the game, whilst looking for the try, they get a red card, concede a penalty and possession and LR see the game out. |

Awful game management at the end there - Ross Byrne seemed to go into hiding, when he should have been dropping into the pocket and screaming for the ball to take the drop at goal. Leinster were onto their third captain of the game which maybe didn't help, but even still. Leinster have so many advantages over other teams, they're basically an international team playing club rugby. They have access to the best players coming through the Irish schools system and have managed to top it up by importing quality players from elsewhere in the country and overseas as well. To have failed to win a trophy either last season or this season with the resources they have available brings them right into bottler territory to be honest.

Thatâs original. Classic final though. Just a shame Leinster couldnât manage the game to a winning conclusion when they had the chance.

Absolute bottle job. They rest their best players year round for days like this and the internationals yet they still can't win despite the business end of their fixtures being at home. If sexton was playing they probably win.

Great result for Munster yesterday. Winning the trophy against the defending champions on their home ground on another continent
Delighted for the auld lads to get another medal. Crowleys performances over the last few weeks are a brilliant development for Ireland in the World Cup. Some boy to step in if/when Sexton gets injured.

A long article on the effects Rugby has had on David Corkery's body and brain. A very sobering read https://www.irishtimes.com/ |

It would damage this forums' reputation

wow hard read that, poor lads really struggling through.
Nature of rugby though, the macho bullsh*t, the haka , the arms around each other on the edge during the f**king anthems ffs, itâs a load of wank. To a lesser extent GAA also has the youâre not a real man unless youâre taking sly digs at some lad, or diving into a big mill. Also read one fan of shamrock rovers after their game v Dundalk say â you could hear Pico heading the ball all round the stadiumâ, Sent a shiver down especially when you remember how many players from the sixties and seventies in England succumbed to dementia, frightening.

Johnny Sexton wont remember his own name in 15 years. He has had a good 20-30 concussions.
