Belgium and Spain as well.

Germany to play Portugal in a Play-off and the winner plays Samoa for a place in the WC

So now Germany, who lost every single one of their games, go into a World Cup play-off!

They actually beat Romania and Belgium in 2017 which counts

Playing Australia down under today.
A few of the Leinster lads are rested so chance for a few of the fringe players to impress.
Actually a much stronger team than I thought they would put out.

Big test. Australia will be right up for this and they have a strong looking team.
Don't like being favourites. Some bench to come on for us though so if we can at least keep it close going into the last 30 minutes then you would fancy us. Would be a big testament as to where we stand compared to Australia if we can go down there and win first a test and then a series!

Just watched the 2nd half of NZ v France.
France were leading and then NZ just absolutely smashed them.

Wow, just wow

Only caught the second half but Ireland were pretty poor in places, looked vulnerable everytime Australia attacked.
Israel Folau is something else though.

Ireland were well beaten in the end. In saying that, I'd still be expecting at least one win over the next two weeks

Failing to win this series would be hugely disappointing and a big setback in building for next year.

Would it? Best time to lose is now, learn where we need to improve for next year with still plenty of time to fix everything. Also takes a marker off our back as unbeatable, the team to beat etc which is no harm.

Also helps blood new lads, even if they do lose - next year's team will look nothing like the starting team today.

New Zealand are the team to beat and Ireland are certainly not unbeatable. This team need to continue building on the 6 Nations success and the first big step was a series win against Australia. You can improve while winning.
Still huge doubts about the cover for Sexton and Murray too.

Will disagree on that one but get your point.

James Ryan must be relieved deep down, crazy record he had of never losing a game, doesn't have that mentioned every game he plays now.

Best team won for sure. Again we looked very vulnerable when teams get quick ball out wide. Only for circumstances (couple of amazing last ditch tackles + the disallowed try) the scoreline would have been heavier.

Often, records like this are good to get off the shoulders of the players, especially with less than 18 months to go to the RWC. They benefit nobody, and if we can pick up a win before going home, I'd be happy with that.

Without turning into Roy Keane about it, I think that is the mindset that will see us get to another quarter final and no further, I hope it isn't shared by those involved.
