Shootout between Boca 'fans' being reported, unfortunately this appears to be a weekly occurrence. A fight between Mauro Martin(La 12 leader) who got shot and Rafael Di Zeo.

They got a one match stadium ban during the week after their fans shook an advertisement board in the upper tier until it fell down on the Independiente bench. A unique way of attacking the opposition it must be said.

And this is just Boca.. all the "Barra Brava" seem to be at it and largely getting away with it. Too much power.

Just reading the match report and you never said a player got a red card for doing nothing more than picking up a cup off the pitch that the Cruziero fans at hurled on at the referee (he got shoved by a Cruziero player but both sent off Confused) and the ref having to get a police escort onto the pitch to start the 2nd half Shocked

Didn't know any of that happened. Not too surprised really.

What did surprise me is out of the 10 or so derbies at the weekend that was the only game with red cards.


In other news Adriano has signed for Flamengo. Doctors told him he needed to lose 10kg but he says it doesn't matter. He was top scorer in 2009 when he was a whopping 16.5 stone or 105kg.

Vickery on the bbc website was bigging this game up to epic proportions the other day and would tend to agree with him on it. Anyone know if its on tv here?

Don't think it's on tv Philliy. 21:30 our time though I think.

Should be a good game, it's a bit of a rivalry. Looking forward to seeing James Rodriguez, Pabon and Falcao linking up. Hopefully Moreno gets some game time but I can't see that happening.


Argentina -v- paraguay after that as well.

Then on the 11th Chile -v- Colombia.


Santos v Sao Paulo on ESPN on Sunday too.
