Andy Townsend commentating on Newcastle v wolves game didn't know he had signed up for sky.
In regards to Bruce, obviously I'm not happy but I'll give him a chance

I have a £50 bet with a mate that Newcastle will avoid relegation!
Bet looked a lot safer when they still had Perez and Rondon and Bruce was still Sheff Wed manager. |

Bruce appointed without Wednesday's consent and without any compensation agreement. they are now considering legal action.

5/2 favourite for first Manager to be sacked
I've had Newcastle ST holders message me what the general consensus is of the situation - "It's not because he was poor with Villa, it's not because he's ex-Sunderland, it's the fact he took a 2 week holiday to the Caribbean when Sheff Weds appointed him, the club granted him it although they had every right to say I want you to work straight away and he axes them in the back 6 months later to sell out to become a yes man is the kind of toxic **** we're dealing with now" The only thing I've found funny from this is the fan phone in on BBC Radio NUFC fan: "He'll never get us as high as Rafa did" Radio host: "Bruce got the exact same position with Sunderland as Rafa did with Newcastle" *Newcastle fan hangs up* Edited by coyne - 17 Jul 2019 at 2:04pm |

The farcical way Ashley runs the club is probably what keeps Sunderland & Middlesbrough fans sane. In fact, there are probably some Newcastle fans right now thinking that supporting Sunderland & Middlesbrough would actually be an upgrade on supporting Newcastle!

He did some good things at Sunderland.
He unearthed people like McClean, Mignolet, Jordan Henderson, attracted genuine talent such as Asamoah Gyan, Darren Bent and Lorik Cana. But the season he spunked the majority of his budget on Connor Wickham and then claimed the Sunderland fans bullied him out because he's from Newcastle he's never been the same person ever again. Full of bitterness and arrogance.

Nope. Bruce bought him but never played him, MON gave him the games soon as he became Manager however.

Rumours that Joelinton to sign for 36m.
Gave Rafa feck all money, 1st signing (probably only one) under Bruce is a record one

Rafa at Newcastle was one of the most overrated managerial performances you will likely see. Stayed up by default on the basis there were some really sh*t sides in the PL.

I’m not sure I’d agree.
He won a hotly competitive Championship, and got a Top 10 finish in his first season with a poor squad. Last season they were very safe at a certain point. I believe Rafa was the dividing line between Newcastle staying up and going down.
