Woman dies in custody in Syria

A Syrian teenager, whose mutilated body was discovered by chance by her family in a morgue while there to identify her brother's corpse, was thought to be the first female to die in custody during recent unrest, Amnesty International said today.

Zainab al-Hosni (18), from the city of Homs had been decapitated, her arms cut off and skin removed, Amnesty International said. ShockedShockedShocked

The Syrian goverment are complete scumbuckets. Maddog Gaddafi wasn't as bad as these ****s. Hope the people can rise up and Behead Bashar al-assad, in the name of all that is good.  You couldnt trust any other country to help, as they would do the same thing, ex, Americans/British in Iraq. But there's doubt it will be the next country they will "help"/invade/bomb

Dreadful sad news about the massacre carried out alledgedly by Assads forces in Damscus.
 
Reports of a gas attack in the Damascus suburbs has killed potentially over a 1000 people.
 
This animal needs to be stopped.

The rebels are fragmented between Islamic fruit loops and moderates...get the moderates into power and quell the fruit loops. A bit simplistic but that needs to be done with the aid of Russia.

Breaking news has some truelly stomach churning pictures of multiple babies and todlers lying dead after gas or chemical attack.

Im not generally screamish, but those pictures of babies grey in the dace is the worst thing I have seen in a vcery long time, amazing the lack of coverage in the west

Terrible stuff gong in in Syria. As much as I hope that Allasad is toppled, I'd fear a millitant Islamic fundamentalist group getting into power.

I've been trying to follow what's going on in Syria for about 2 years now. It's pretty convoluted and there's very few black and whites. People however, would do well to look at where the FSA 'rebels' are coming in to Syria from, who the main groups are that loosely form them and also who's funding them. It's all shady as fook. There'd be a few Syrians and Syrian ex-pats who I follow on twitter and it's not Assad's forces (the SAA) that they deplore. None of them show any love for Assad though, but all seem to love their SAA who they believe are protecting their country from foreign sponsored loon-bags.

This gives an interesting perspective.



There seems to be little concensus on yesterday's attacks among military analysts and CW experts etc., but the 3 one's back in May look more than likely to have been carried out by FSA 'rebels'.

Also, Bashar Al-Assad's Brittish born missus is a serious hotty.

This sort of thing has been going on in Uzbekistan and North Korea for years.

Who would ye have solve this problem because Irish soldiers will not be involved if there's an intervention. US and British soldiers going out there to die for what? Why should they be the ones to fix it anyway, let France and Turkey do this one.

Have been stuck with RT & China Central TV  as the only English language channels in hotels before Dead. RT is just a puppet of the Kremlin.
