Our best player is back! if he could score he could be like Stephen Gerrard... Not for nothing Trap compared him to Gianni Rivera and Michel Platini

Did he pick up an injury in those fifteen minutes or make it through unscathed?

He finished the game. You'd have to hope he gets a few more games this season. Theoretically, Everton are in a four-way battle for seventh place and a European spot (assuming City win the FA Cup) but that's a bit of a poisoned chalice, as Burnley's start to the season showed.

Linked with a move to Newcastle according to the Liverpool Echo. If he gets 1st team football in the premier league then it’s a great move in my opinion, no matter how bad the Newcastle train wreck could go this season!

“Randolph sends it long…and Shane Long is in behind the German defence… Shane Long against Neuer…. 1-0!.. What a moment!”

It seems a reasonable offer for a fella with one year left on contract and is, eh, a little bit injury prone from time to time.....

Palace shouldn't be in any huge danger, Hodgson generally knows what he is at defensively and JMC himself would surely have a better chance of getting into that team than Everton's. He's still only 28 too, obviously fitness is his major issue, but still has time to be an important player for us should he get to play most of a full season.

Picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.....

What was his last game for The Eire?  Must be about 3 or 4 years ago?  Feels like it anyway.

Ireland need him playing as the alternatives are just not there yet.

I’ll throw in the towel if an unnatached, 77 year old Whelan is picked again.
I wouldn’t wish being unnatached on anyone.
