Most likely bollox though

He will join a long list of illustrious Irish names to play for Italian clubs

Liam Brady - Juventus, Inter Milan, Sampdoria, Ascoli
Robert Keane - Inter Milan
Kevin Doyle - Juventus
Doyle never played at Juventus?

Was a joke. The Irish media claimed the Old Lady were after him in 2011.
At that time the Old Lady was mainly interested in Wayne Rooney.

Always found it funny to that the grandmother rooney paid for sex off was nicknamed ‘The auld slapper’ LOL

He kind of looks like Totti. Can’t  see any other similarities.

Could be mileage in that one. They wanted a team of Gary Breen’s once!

He’d be mad not to take the opportunity, although he’d probably be on less than he is at Burnley.

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

I'm not a fan of his at all, but even I think it's unfair to say he can't play. He has shown, far too rarely, that he can when he wants to. The problem is that he isn't driven and footballers these days are  often rewarded for that. I don't think he really cares and is probably getting 35k or more for not caring. For Ireland, I just wish he would turn and look for the ball once a season!

You won't be consistently picked in a Sean Dyche side if you "don't care". Maximum effort is the minimum at Burnley, he wouldn't continue to be a regular if anyone felt he was being lax on that front.
We're decent enough..

I'm not sure that Dyche could find eleven players to care and if he did they probably wouldn't be good enough. If he cared he would look for the f**king ball! Maybe he does for Burnley, but he plays with his back to it for Ireland.

I think that Jeff, like a lot of other mid-table and lower EPL players, cares enough not have his massive contract ripped. I think a case can be made for many in the top half of the Championship too, but that's another debate.

It's not too late for Jeff to be an important player in a green jersey.
Up to now his managers have valued bypassing his position with the ball but SK should bring a style that better suits a potentially good ball-player like Jeff.  Let's see how he does in this new system and if he continues to be absent, then he'll likely not last long.
I, for one, am hopeful he can be a useful player for us and I reckon he'll be more trusted with the ball and asked to make things happen with it.
It'll be up to him to decide if that's really what he wants...still time for him to become a very good Ireland player.
