The problem teams are having, especially those outside the top 4, is scoring against this Liverpool team. They’ll go close to Chelsea’s goals comceded in a season record. Teams don’t even create a half chance against them in many games. Rock solid

That's some record.
Amazing record, stats like that should be the difference this season

Liverpool have conceded 3 goals to non top 6 sides this season.

Moment of class from Salah was the difference.

No different to the penalty v Newcastle really. Shirt pull on forward in box = penalty any day of the week.

I wouldn't describe it as efficient. Liverpool didn't create much, but were not really troubled at the back, so the team played the game in 3rd gear.

That cut no ice with Hughton. It was much easier to blame the referee.

Fabinho has plenty of experience at right back, it wouldn’t be any bother playing him there

Gomez, Milner, Fabihno. Lots of cover there if Gomez is back soon. Even if he's not they'll be fine.

Clyne is nowhere near good enough to be playing for a team aspiring to be one of Europe's best, even as the 2nd choice RB. He is harmless as an attacking player. They were right to move him on.
"I called him an embarrassment to FIFA and to himself," .... He said 'No-one speaks to me like that'.... and I said, "well I do' and that was that."

I suspect patience will be a virtue here.

Crystal Palace are looking very well set up defensively.

0-1 Townsend.

Liverpool almost intercepted the ball up the other end but committed five or six players to try and do so. Palace got the ball away and Zaha attacked down the left hand side and cut it back for Townsend who finished with an unstoppable left foot shot from around 12 yards.

SALAD

Incredible volleyed finish from a van Dijk speccy.

Big Virgil needs to shoot more. He'll never score, but somebody else will.

Nearly a carbon copy of Palace's first goal there.

They remain extremely dangerpus on the break.

We need to haul Keita off.

He's been abysmal.
