Palace have just got slaughtered by promoted upstarts at home. Liverpool are unbeaten in the club's first home league game since 2003. What are the chances?

A point at Watford isn't the disaster it's been made out to be. It always was an awkward venue for Liverpool to go to, and evidently still is. Plenty of other sides will struggle there as the season goes on.

Midfield is the issue for me. The trio of Henderson, Emre Can and Wijnaldum will never dominate games or offer enough protection for the back four.

Not a great trio when you compare to the other top sides. they are all good players but thats about it.

Great goal by Trent. Delighted for him

On a whole Liverpool have been fairly woeful. They need to wake up. They look like conceding every time hoffenheim have an attack. Defender again all over the shop and the game is passing gini hendo and can by. They have offered very little.

Top 3 look lovely as per usual

Good result in the end. Very happy with that however we should of win by a lot more. Hoffenheim were all huff and puff with not much quality in the final third.

Mane was class again

So true, apart from TAA who I thought did fairly well actually. I feel sorry for him, how is he meant to learn and develop his game playing alongside those muppets?

Especially ones like Lovren - some of the 'defending' that I noticed from him last night included him trying to cut out a cross with several parts of his body, giving away a cheap corner by getting in the way of a teammate's clearance - and then saving the piece de resistance for near the end of the game - by botching the offside trap resulting in Hoffenheim's goal. Clown

If I defended like that, I'd be embarrassed to collect my salary at the end of the month.

Barcelona seem determined to invest in the club given the amount they're willing to put in, but transfers need 3 things in place.

A club willing to buy
A club willing to sell
A player wanting to go.

Without one of them, no transfer happens.

But if they all fall into place, see how soon that "back injury" miraculously clears up.
