Many examples of an assistant replacing the man he’s worked under and it being a success?

Seems obvious but J Loew. Oh and Paisley.

I'm talking managers who were assistants and then moved up at that club to manager replacing the man they'd worked under.

Not what McClaren, Mourinho, Rodgers did

Walter Smith at Rangers
Neil Lennon in his first spell at Celtic would I guess fit this category
Colin Harvey at Everton was not a success
Tony Barton at Villa won the European Cup but was not a long term success

Allison Becker again. His form is so bad. Not sure if it's his personal circumstance with his dad (he was making errors before that).

I'd have kelleher jn ahead of him for a few games if he was fit.

The Newcastle coach was bricked by Liverpool fans  outside the stadium today. Similar happened v Real Madrid in The Champions League the other week.
