Are Shels fans surprised at Morris getting sacked? Was only listening to him on Cawley's Call 2 weeks ago and he was speaking about his plans for next season.

I was surprised myself as I thought he'd be given next year at least. There was always an element of the support that never really took to him but, saying that, he got a fantastic send off on Friday from the fans. I think he did a good job with the two promotions. Last season was obviously poor sleepwalking into relegation but this season has been fairly comfortable so I thought he deserved the opportunity to go again next year. I'll trust the board and hope that they have their plan going forward, time will tell. Hopefully Morris will end up with a decent job too. |

I didn't think he'd take it myself as I wasn't sure if he'd be bothered for such a big commitment but he seems to want the focus and structure in his life. Hard to know how it'll go but I'm delighted he's giving it a go. He'll be demanding and raise the ambition of the players and club. I thought he was very entertaining in the press conference and has already raised the profile of the club massively, fingers crossed it goes well on the pitch too.
