I will admit I was concerned that the move would speed up a decline, but he is flourishing, clearly enjoying his football, and has made himself indispensable and an early candidate for team Of the season. Delighted for him.

What a quality cross from James for the third goal followed by a class assist from Jason.

His cross was spot on, did well to provide width in the team but defensively he was very suspect, he's not a left back or left wing back.

Jimmy was fine defensively last night. The big mistakes at the back came from our more experienced players Coleman and Duffy who were both guilty of giving the ball away in really dangerous areas on at least a couple of occasions each. Didnt think it was Egan's best game either, his passing was sloppy all night. Mc Clean worked hard, offered an outlet and put in at least 3 excellent crosses asides from the one we scored from. Decent 7/10 performance imo.

Put in 4 really good crosses too

One of which led to the goal

Very decent showing

He gets a lot of criticism for his crosses not clearing the first man but his crossing was on point last night. Demanded the ball and took up good positions as well.

i wouldn’t have started him but in fairness he had a decent game.  Crossed much better than usual.   Without being disrespectful to Luxembourg, this is the sort of game where he can play.  Against better opposition he has neither the skill to beat his man nor the defensive quality to do the wb job.  His attitude is great though as a squad player.

Yeah fair point, credit where credit is due mcclean did well yesterday. A more composed effort than his high energy displays of the past. Which I think worked well for him and the team.

The break for the third goal was a particular highlight.
