Trapped wouldnt you agree that Hunt McShane and Green have been doing well and should be considered before any blow ins? Green in particular has never put a foot wtong for us.

I've just learned to accept that Trap has a strange, but strong, phobic response to the name James. It's so strong that it even extends to the Irish version, Séamus. Unfortunately anyone who goes by this name hoping to break into the squad is fooked, regardless of potential.

Form is temporary and class is permanent so for that reason Hunt should be at the Europeans before McLean. Oh, hold on, wait a second ... Unhappy

McClean is doing well but Hunt remains ahead of him in the pecking order.

The big cheer was because he took sh*t for declaring for us, believed he was good enough. He's also the first player to chance traps mind. Made the transition from LOI first division to LOI premier division to English premiership in consecrative seasons.

We all love to see young Irish players make their debut.  Everyone is hoping that its the start of a new generation of young exciting players coming through.

He's been consistently performing at the top level this season, bringing him is a no brainer at this stage.

The strange thing is he would fit in perfectly to Traps system. He's a strong, direct winger with a lethal left foot and a peach of a cross. And he works his socks off and defends very well. He should start with Duff imo. I like McGeady but his final ball is chronic.

This is a no-brainer. That performance today was something special

MOTD pundits said he'll be at the euros, little do they know he'll probably be watching them at home strangely

Trap cant come out and say he wouldnt fit the system, that line wont work here as his work rates brilliant, he's a big fella so they cant say he isnt good enough aerially to defend set pieces if they want to use that excuse. Seems to be full of confidence at the minute, ive already seen enough of him to say he'd easily be our best crosser of the ball

Will be a travesty if he isnt on that plane

Exactly loyalty goes out the window at this stage the best team (Players ) have to be selected and at this point of time players who are not playing are fcuk all use to us, out will all this dead wood in the squad .

Right so if Given , O'Shea and Duff end up not playing from now until the end of the season with their clubs you suggest that we drop them?

not a lot to tbh.....they have the sum total of approx 3 months managerial experience between them and one managed to get a club relegated in that time!

Would love to see McClean in the squad for the summer.

Question is whether he has enough nous to adapt to Traps need for defensive duties. I think he's worth the rusk on the basis if what he offers. More likely to give it over 90 minutes rather than Hunt who, as much as I love him, doesn't have an effective 90 minute game.

Dare I say, it McClean seems to have far more end product than McGeady too, a player who really gets my back up.
Shes got a head like Liam Brady
