Down to his ego rather than fitness.

No....down to his over-use in the first-half of a campaign.  Certainly not down to his ego.

Does he just switch his ego on at Christmas?

If I keep writing enough hagiographic articles on Man Utd, they might give me a job

He gets cocky. The more praise he gets the worse he becomes. He's trying too hard.

OK - if that's what you think.

I'll put it down - like Evra - to constant use in the team in the first-half of the campaign.  The two of those are rarely dropped Aug-Jan and it always - or has done over the last three seasons - takes its toll on them.

It ain't a worrry.  Last year Fergie new Valencia was back in February and burnt Nani till then...This time he knows Young will be back in February and will burn Nani till then.

He should - all going well - be fully fit for an April-May closing run!

Agreed, look no further than his performance vs Blackburn... Tried to perform the superman role by doing everything himself. It was a gruesome display.

I wonder will we see Scholes have an Indian Summer of form in the next few months, may realise his days are numbered and see him rolling back the years. It's been a while since we've seen Scholes pop up in the box like that, for example.

1 - are u denying that among pundits and commentators there hasnt been a sustained policy of chuckling when Scholes goes in with his usual horror challenge?

2 - do you think todays challenge should have resulted in a sending off? given what recent red cards have been brandished for? Yakubu today for example

i understand that you can't abide anything at all being said against your beloved Man United, but i actually point out these type of incidents week in week out on here when they go unpunished regardless of the teams involved. take the blinkers off for a minute
