Stokes has played in the Premier League, Championship and SPFL. He's won plenty and played 9 times for his country. He's also played european football against some top clubs. Has he really wasted his career?

Yes but these guys signed up tonnes of top young talent who never made it like Ravel Morrison for example. STokes has still had a good career. I liked him at Celtic too but he simply wasn't a top top players as they would say on Newstalk.

If he had sense. He should be set up for life. Could have been an excellent Championship or maybe PL striker. He ought to have been our chief Number 9 for the last few years. Should have 50 plus Caps and be in double digits. What an enormous waste of talent. A huge waste for him and has been a real loss for us. Weve never properly replaced the Quinn Cas options at 9. We don't have reall ly traditional 9s coming through either.

I saw Jay Emmanuel Thomas playing at Livingston recently. Pushing 30, 10 pounds overweight, still got “JET” on the back of his shirt like a bellend. I don’t know what happened at arsenal that led to all those promising kids wasting their careers. That said, JET is practically a Nobel prize winner compared to our Anthony.

stokes managed a respectable career of achievements though, emmanual thomas definitely did not. stokes off the field stuff had him held back, but he still did pretty ok as careers go
