Think he's had a rough year no doubt. Missing probably our 3 best players most of the season in Duffy, Whelan and Fats. Any team in the league would miss them lads. Badly needing a striker too.

V good year last season finishing 2nd and winning the cup. While everyone(me included) was expecting a proper title challenge challenge it hasn't happened for various reasons. Losing Reynolds couldn't have helped him either.

So while the support for him is 50/50 with the fan base, id keep him.

Apparently has already interviewed for Barnsley, doesnt mean he'll get it but obviously wants it.

Higgins stays. Probably needs a cup win to keep him there next year.

Don’t think Whelan can constitute as one of Derrys best players, signed injured and unproven at the club, Duffy unfortunately hasn’t really excelled since Dundalk days with numerous injuries also. So overall I don’t think the injury factor is any better or worse than exists at every club.

0-0 ht, Derry the better team, but Rovers have been dangerous at times. All to play for 2nd half. Derry are going to have to push a bit harder at some point!

Same problems tonight v Drogheda. Lacking a proven sticker being the biggest problem, surly must get someone in if we're to kick on. Some lads looked like they were already on the beach already.

Good news with the new stand getting planning permission and work starting next month, adding 2700 to the capacity. Club paying for it, 2 million is the reported figure so fair play. Hopefully get back on grass soon too.

Rory Patterson in his prime, you'd be a lot closer and probably winning the league...

Be nice alright, I think Duffy is top goalscorer for us with 7, sums it up well. Pity because we're excellent in few positions except the one that really matters.

Disappointed with lack of fight in the team. The season has fizzled out on them and Rovers didn't have to get out of 3rd gear. Not much between Derry, Pats, Bohs or Shels. Still alot to play for.

The team starting to look very strong for next season. If we don't win the league this year I am not sure we ever will in this cycle.

Maher

Boyce
Connolly
McJannet
Doherty

Dummigan
McEleney/O'Rielly
Patching

Kelly
Hoban
Duffy

That's as good as it gets in LOI for me.

Walters coming back from an offside position but Shane Long was definitely onside- Shane Lonnggggggg.... has done it!!!!

My only real concern for Derry is that there seems to be a lot of negativity from some fans. A lot are not overly enthused by the style of play. Others are a bit miffed at Paddy McLaughlin's treatment. It's a big season for Higgins. I think he shuts the doubters up this year and would have us as favourites for the league.
