Think ye can get them for around 100/150 quid in Marks and Sparks. Would be a lot better than having to wear a rented Tux as well Dead

When you say it's Black Tie, does it mean the Bride and Groom have requested  that everyone dresses up?

If so, that's fairly bollocks, I'd imagine going to a wedding itself is quite expensive (hotel, present, drinks) without having to shell out for a tux/dress.

What would happen if you just turned up in a normal suit?

Free bar will recoup some of yer lost shekels on the tux, but I think black tie weddings are as fookin pretentious and posing as they come, some people really do lose the run of themselves when it comes to a wedding.

It's a load of pretentious bollocks, especially now.  I went to one last year. I had a black suit for funerals which I'd only worn once, so I bought a dress shirt and a black dickie bow and was not out of place, as quite a few others did the same.

A couple of dudes wore white suits and they did look out of place.

Yeah Stoked, everyone telling me to go down that route as they reckon 60% of fellas there will be doing the same.

Never spent more than 200 notes on a suit but need a new one. Any ideas lads? Decent suit for that price?

There's a place on North Earl Street at the corner that does suits for reasonable prices. It used to be a Best but is under a different name now. Cleary's is just beside it too- more upmarket but they often have rails of stuff on sale including suits so worth a look.
