Ah now, I'm not his biggest fan, but he has averaged 18 PL games a season over the last 4, 19 last season, so he has kicked a ball, the problem is he cant stay fit over a prolonged period which is what he needs, an extended run.

Dont know if he has it in him at this point, we can only hope, but the squad has progressed to the point where his absence isnt really felt any more. Don't think he ever looked good at LWB on the few occasions he was tried there, so the only position in the team for him in our 3-4-2-1 is as one of the 2 behind the striker and we now look to have a fair few options there, so it will be tough for him to get back in even if he can get himself 100%..

Bit misconceiving to be looking at the number of games hes played, an awful lot of sub appearances 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes here and there. Hes only completed 90 minutes 8 times in 4 years.

Fair enough, I have no particular interest in fighting his corner, just thought "barely kicked a ball in 4 years" was a bit harsh. I was never a big fan being honest.

Brady hasn't had a proper run of games in years. The knee injury in 2017, a season he started very well has really curtailed his progress. When did he last start 10-15 games on the bounce.

I can't see him ever getting back fully fit, niggles have become a common part of his dwindling career and with some good options in midfield and attack hopefully emerging over the next 2-3 years, he won't get a look in.

I am a big fan of Brady but we have won a couple of matches in a row and so the guys in the team and squad are there on merit. It will be a long way back for him now. He has the ability but he will have to prove himself all over again.
Walters coming back from an offside position but Shane Long was definitely onside- Shane Lonnggggggg.... has done it!!!!

Just had a look at his wiki. The stats really do show how disrupted by injury his career has been. Nearly 30 and less than 300 club games (274). Compare that with somebody like James McCarthy (ok started earlier) but despite his injury record he has nearly 450 club games.

Why is it ok to say there is juice left in the tank but it's not ok to say there is no juice left in the tank.  Are both not opinions by fans based on very little proof other than watching from afar.

Flipping your theory. The "plenty of juice in the tank" comment is as informed as anyone else's opinion. What do you know?

That's a very good move for him. Hopefully he can get a run of game without injury. If he can regain any sort of form and fitness, he'd be worth a place in the squad.

I definitely think Brady still has loads of offer us if he can get fit, either in that number 10 position behind Robinson, or at left wing back. Hopefully he can get fit and get into the team there relatively quickly.

Hopefully his signing doesn't knock Kilkenny a peg further down the ladder though.
