Actually walked past it today , there was a bit of a crowd outside not sure if they were selling take outs or just people who had a carry out standing outside with the good weather

If you're in the area again  it is worth calling in. It was a friary until the early 19th century,  as the name would suggest.

I know they used to do Stella but got rid of itCry , tend to avoid them now though given that pubs seemed to have been open about 2 weeks in the past 12 months its hardly a surprise

The Blackfriars is a lovely pub. Unfortunately it's a Nicholson's, but itbis absolutely stunning inside and not too bad outside either. Not that you could have got it in.
