To be expected really. That defensive isn't good enough for Scotland, it is hardly going to be good enough for Europe. Benkovic is a huge loss.

I expected Valencia to be better, they look ordinary enough.

Rodgers refusal to mix up the play worked into their hands. They nullified the threat from the wings and Celtic didn't have what it takes to hurt them elsewhere. Couldn't string more than 3 pass's together in the middle. A good few players just not up to this level either. Valencia didn't actually offer much attacking threat. Burke put in a great shift and looked our only threat.

The gap's too big. In Scotland Celtic haven't conceded a goal all year and Burke looks like Lionel Messi (not that i'm picking on him as he was far from the worst player last night)
Looked out of their depth last night against an average enough side on European terms, who didn't even have to be that good to open them up. Got the feeling that its a European campaign too many for Scot Brown also/ Been to the well too many times.

Izzy and McGregor were particularly appalling.
McGregor is knackered, he's played the most football of anyone in Europe so far this season - he's on over 50 competitive games already.
Everyone and their dog is injured so there is no choice but to play him.


Btw Rodgers will be properly gutted at that last nite as he wanted to prove himself v Spanish opposition, I'm convinced la Liga is his favoured next stop after the hoops.
