Squad? No, but our other options on the wing were the likes of Stephen Hunt, Liam Lawrence and Simon Cox, so Horgan and Curtis aside, I believe we are as strong/weak on the flanks. Whilst McGeady might have a moment of magic in him that Curtis or Horgan don't, neither of them featured in the qualifiers so it is a moot point.

I always thought that Liam Lawrence would've been better in central midfield for us. Nifty passing range and strong, physical player.

Thank fook we didn't call him up for the March qualifiers seeing as he's clearly past it. Those qualifiers could went disastrously for us if he was playing.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

2 assists for McGeady, having an absolute stormer of a game.

His first assist was excellent.

Looks the best player on the pitch.
Every chance he'll be in the Championship next season.

To teach the young lads what the word creative means because it hasn’t been seen in an Ireland camp in about 10 years.

Contradicting yourself there then if it hasn't been in an Ireland camp in 10 years

Well Kenny might not have much of a future himself if he doesn't start picking one of the few players we have in form who is still an attacking threat and playing well for the last 4/5 months. He deserves to be in the squad.

You could get another year or so out of McGeady and we're in serious danger of not even finishing in third spot in this group.

Kenny needs to be a bit pragmatic given our disastrous start to the group and start getting results instead of just focusing on a future he may not be part of. McGeady given his form would definitely be an asset.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Mcgeady and Hoolahan have really shown that class is permanent this year and have had fine seasons. On form they are probably irelands best performers and if the were both 10 years younger you'd have them in the team.

However a combined age of 74 doesn't suggest forward thinking
