if we are looking for inspiration from this WC from teams not packed with superstars then Iran & Ecuador are two teams to learn from - forward thinking, battling, technical - both teams you’d be super proud of.

iran are ranked 20th in the world. they are clearly a much better side than what we saw against england.

one or two top quality players can make all the difference.

Joanne Cantwell and her virtue signalling getting very tiresome. Even Sadlier getting bored of her nonsense. Just said we're all complicit in sportswashing. Sadlier didn't enjoy that.

Tend to agree!

Brazil would be better with Militao ahead of him.

Also reckon Portugal would be a better outfit without Ronaldo.

With such a short warm up period for all the teams. I'm reserving judgement until teams have played two games.

The Dutch look very average
It would damage this forums' reputation

I've seen people get boxed in the face for less than what McKennie did there.

This performance, perhaps, a fairer indication of how much of a threat England will be going forward in the competition. US stronger side so far.

England lucky not to be behind
They’ll get a soft penalty second half

England have so much potential. Their so slow and drab.  This game is a bit meh. You can see England undeservedly winning the game in the end.

Would love to see the US win.

USA tired badly against Wales hopefully not the same again tonight.

Been impressed with Yunus Musah tonight and the times I’ve seen him for Valencia! Didn’t realise until tonight that he was only 19.

One of the most boring games I’ve watched this tournament
Both teams passing it about at the back a lot with no pressure on
