Croatia may be the greatest penalty takers of all time! Never looked like missing.

Creates a very open World Cup in many ways. When Brazil are the default favourites this often happens.

I just want to see open attacking matches. You won’t get that with Croatia, Morocco, Netherlands and England.

Would be grim if those were the 4 semi finalists.

Not quite as ridiculous as justifying Rovers fielding a reserve team in Molde and throwing thousands of Euro win bonus away, just to help the team turn a healthy 5 point league lead into a 13 point stroll in the end.

Another France v Croatia final is on the cards, by the way things are going at the tournament atm.

Though, funnily enough, it was a moment of not doing that that and pissing around at the back that ultimately cost them in the end.

France 4-1 Australia
Argentina 2-1 Australia

Lost half their games after playing their way and making life difficult for the opposition. More goals conceded in the tournament than scored as well. Huge respect.

Mind you, at least the coach is home grown, who nobody had ever heard of before, and probably didn't have a voice to command enough respect, to get an interview at Lincoln, until this tournament. Ditto the one with Morocco

The Liverpool goalkeeper cost Brazil! Should have played Ederson.

Never quite got why they were such short priced favourites

They aren’t a great team, then again no one in this is.

Portugal will fancy their chances now

I assume it’s like Kerry for the AI (in the past at least). Perhaps a reflection of no obvious top quality team.

That’s why he’s the greatest, or certainly better than Ronaldo

Not only the levels of scoring but his passing ability is insane
Could easily play as a (luxury) midfielder for a few more years

Neymar's goal was quality, but then waiting to take the 5th for the glory while letting a young player step up first and ultimately not getting a chance to take a peno is glorious.

If I've added it up correctly, Croatia have gone to penos in 5 of their last 7 knockout games at tournaments since Russia. And even their last 16 game in France against Portugal would have gone to penos if Quaresma hadn't have scored in the 117th minute. They don't make it easy on themselves.

Messi's pass to Molina for the goal was sensational. Comfortable enough first half for them. Ref is card happy so wouldn't be surprised to see a sending off.
