Agree. I went so long ago that the 150 or so that I paid was a lot of money.

Looking at the tasting menu and the wine prices - I simply couldn't justify paying those prices.

One of my mates fancies himself as a foodie. So a few people teamed up to get him a wedding present of a €500 voucher for Guilbauds. Himself and the Mrs decided that when they were using it, they were going to enjoy the illusion of being rich for the evening. Don't worry about looking at the prices, just order what you want and enjoy the experience. They ordered the wine pairing, apertitifs, digestif, the full works.
He says that the total was €950 (including tip). It retrospectively took all the fun out of the meal as he was a bit sick about the price. He knew he would be paying a few quid on top of the €500 but didnt expect it to be so heavy.
Basically, you can end up spending any amount of cash in these places.

cut the wine out as that is the rip off as no skill or
Training has gone into that and you can enjoy a better wine at home for half the price.  At Leary with the cooking it’s a combination of training and skill and produce that goes into
The price along with other overheads.

By the way has anybody checked if Newry rep is off the floor yet and is ok.

You could actually fly to New York and eat in a Michelin star restaurant and fly home again for price.

Do they give prostate massages during each course or something?

Justice, Chai Yo Restaurant is a great place to eat! I eat there often with a coworker.
Btw, my favorite restaurant around the area is Etto restaurant on 18 Merrion Row - great food as well as service.
By the way, https://places-to-eat-near-me.com/topic/restaurants-open-on-christmas-day/ - they will be open on Christmas 2021:
https://www.etto.ie/christmas - https://www.etto.ie/christmas
I'll be there.

Here is an image of the food:

And here is an image of the restaurant from outside:

Maybe it was due to the extended hype for the place and then finally trying it for myself, but I thought it was fairly meh.Grand like, decent burger but no real difference from the other places like Bunsen and wherever. The amount of fries we got though was absolutely mental, I thought people were exaggerating.

Monty's of Katmandu is a great spot if you're into your Indian/Nepalese food. They do a great platter of different dishes for about €25.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Hang Dai on Camden St.

Like Chinese tapas getting small plates of everything. Pork and duck were nice but their wings were the nicest.
