When your hands are full coming out of the siopa but you’ve more mobility left in one arm and you go for the car keys and they’re on the other less mobile arm side pocket

I always found it odd how much longevity American and English people get out of Irish people not being able to pronounce certain words correctly considering the way they mangle so many of them.

Still remember an American girl shaming me for wanting to go see a fill 'em instead of a film one time.

Paul Merson and Clinton Morrison would fail foundation level English.

The keys are usually on the right of the steering wheel, so chances are you take them out of the car with your right hand and put them in your right pocket.

If you're right handed, chances are you pick up shopping with that hand too, hence the problem.

Left handed and they are never in the same pocket ever.

When a football presenter asks the questions was a draw a fair result and did x team play poorly or did y team play did well?

The first question will almost always be responded to with yes, while the second will be responded to with a bit of both.

I would blame the presenters and pundits equally for these questions and answers as the presenters know the pundits will nearly every single time give the safe, non-controversial answer so they should ask more probing questions.

It gets to the point where it becomes so ubiquitous that it's essentially co-opted and becomes the correct pronunciation, at least in the UK.

There was a fella from my hometown who pronounced his name as 'Key-oh'. I think he was from Wexford originally. Thankfully Irish football fans and commentators have never pronounced names like Hourihane  or Hoban wrong. I'm still pronouncing James McClean's name wrong, as are the majority of Irish fans.
I know of cousins from West Cork who pronounce their own surnames differently. They are Cock-lans and Min-ne-hens down west and Caw-lans and Min-na-hanes near the city.I have had my own surname, which originated in County Mayo, pronounced wrong more times in Ireland than England.
I also believe that Kay-hill is how Tim and Gary both pronounced it themselves, so is correct. I certainly wouldn't be getting too worried about it.

Surely that works both ways?

What makes you think the Irish people pronouncing English language is more correct than English people pronouncing English language

People who don't know how to queue properly. Got barked at in Aldi for jumping the queue because some imbecile was standing 12 feet behind the person getting served and in between the two checkouts.

How could you be 12 feet behind and also be between the checkouts? What sort of dog was it and, more importantly, what was in his basket?
