Was in town last night and had 5 mins to burn so ran into PP and threw a 10er on each of these -

Russia to win 25/1 - Why not? Hiddink at the helm
Croatia to win 14/1 - Good chance
Torres top scorer 8/1 - was either him or Ronaldo

Gonna make a few more today. Any tips from the experts?

Ballack was 50/1 only got him at 40/1 but OUTRIGHT no chance. Eachway is the only value just like Benzema..although your all backing him..so might check out that Russian player

Just had a nice bet on mario Gomez to be in top three goalscorers at 5-1 with betfair. Also backed him at 7-2 to be top german goalscorer.

His stats for germany are six goals in ten starts for germany only 22 yrs of age. Similar to klose when he first burst on the scene for germany.

Remember the name get on boys

good luck. Big%20smile

LOLI'll give you 1,000000-1 for Van Persie to be top scorer Count- he has no chance..likewise Benzema...Frei's not a bad call though along with Ribery of course and the usual suspects Luca Toni, Torres, Poldoski, Klose, Ronaldo. Mutu is at 50/1..people underestimate Romania, beat the dutch in the qualifiers and could shock either France/Italy as well

I wouldn't go near Van Persie, he ain't fit enough.  Just got Ribery now at Ladbrokes at 50s, each way of course.  Let the games begin!

yeah think i'll throw a few quid on benzama at lunch....is he better odds in ladbrokes or paddys? (cant check website in work Unhappy)
Im in london the best price you can get at the moment is 33-1 with boylesports. paddy power 25-1 ladbrokes only 16-1.

If Ribery is injured those odds will fall as benzema is then sure to start.

Interesting market on betfair you can back on players to finish in top 3 goalscorers. some examples: Benzena 8-1,  podolski 9-1, ballack 13-2, van persie 19-1. takea look seems an interesting market.

Cheers joxer. Think I'll still throw a couple on Ribery and France

You're right about the Germans as well - they are certain favourites

I was gonna do him and France as a double at 150's....

they didnt elaborate on Ribery's injury on radio it was a french journalist may have taken him off as a precaution the bettig exchanges will be the best guide to the extent of the injury. I'd check them first before you back him.

I think Ballack is value at 33-1 if he takes the pens for germany. Germany are virtuallythe home nation if they get a ref who is a bit of a 'homer' they may well get penalties. Plus the fact germany are likely to go a long way in the competition. Ballack at 33-1 for top goalscorer is far better value than the 4-1 being offered on germany winning the tounament in my opinion.

Good luck with your bets
