Loses his composure, not necessarily the ball (albeit he has done that a few times, eg Bale). When he plays for Derby he regularly carries the ball out of defence, plays constructive passes etc., whereas for Ireland his first instinct is to belt the ball away. Scotland was a great example, he defended well but sh*t himself every time the ball came near him. As I've said, it's just nerves rather than a lack of ability, so it can be corrected.

Duffy - France in the Euro's. Nothing more needs to be said.

Duffy passing the ball into the stands and being caught out of position are both regular occurrences too.

However, O'Neill has chosen Duffy as first choice and I'm good with that.

He should concentrate on defending and if he keeps it simple, he'll be a very good player as he's a colossal of a defender.

The key with Duffy is not to allow him be exposed. He's got the turning circle of the Ulysses. Moldova got at him too many times in the first half for my liking  as Christie is suspect and not the best at covering.

I don't care who O'Neill picks as centre back but stay with the one pair. It'll help them develop an understanding and with their goalkeeper Randolph.

Doing well. Arguably a goal saving block

Duffy again.

His confidence is up and he's more or less stopped two potential goals.

That was as commanding of a performance you are likely to see all season.

Great game.

Duffy got great praise from Carra at end Clap

Very good team performance from Brighton, fair play to Duffy and his defence on the clean sheet.

If he wasn't from the same county as Martin O'Neill you would have said he had played very well LOL

Delighted for Duffy and an away game like that suits him when they're defending in numbers and they're not stretched.

He'll be needed aerial-wise in our two games against Denmark irrespective of whether we're home or away as we'll be sitting deep in both games barring a poor result in Copenhagen.
