The tone of Kenny’s support for the 29-year-old this past week certainly suggests to the Derryman being retained.
As we’ve seen the last few years with the likes of hendrick, whelan and Hourihane. Form at club and international level isn’t an inhibitor to accumulating Ireland caps. Duffy has been better than those three, but I think it could be a mistake starting him tonight.

When he was playing for Celtic he looked terribly unfit, I think he'll start tonight and it'll prove costly.

I think that's a bit harsh. I would say that Duffy looks like he has the weight of the World on his shoulders at the moment. He's had a family.crises, move to another city and expectation thrust upon him.

Hes not a robot, this has affected him as it would any person in the world.

I just fear that if he does play today and he makes a mistake a difficult position will be made more difficult.

It isn't harsh to say he has been unfit as he has been.

No Dugs, I wouldn't select him for tonight. Id wait till he finds his club form again before selecting him for the ireland 11.

I always wish the move to WHU that was touted had come off for him.

Duffy last played on 14 February. Robinson last played on 02 February. Strangely, nobody seems to have any problem with Robinson being selected to do his impersonation of an Intl caliber footballer tonight even though he's badly lacking minutes.

There's a lot more damage a poor defender than do than a forward player.
If Robisnon starts and does SFA, he can be whipped off.
If Duffy starts and has a mare, we could be down and out by HT.

You know this!

Presumably you haven’t seen Duffy attempting to remember how to defend this season 🤔

He did win a Scottish Cup medal. He won't depart Celtic without one major trophy success in that environment.

True, but on the whole the move has been broadly a negative experience. Like I said, if Moyes had been able to do to Duffy what he has done to Craig Dawson I think there is no question that Duffy would be the first name on our team sheet tonight.
