Not sure it will, the thing about duffy is that, as a defender he can actually defend.

I don’t think Lewis Dunk and Dale Stephens are eligible for Ireland.

He needs to get out of Brighton. New manager clearly no time for him. One of the cbs gone off there and they chose to bring on another lad ahead of him.
Plenty of premier league clubs would happily take Duffy I'd imagine Edited by ShamtheRam - 01 Jan 2020 at 12:57pm |

Have to say, it looks like Duffy is now a bit part player for Brighton, not really a position he wants to be in at his age.
He's definitely PL level quality but I would think that would mean leaving Brighton to be a regular again. Before anyone else feels the need; legs have gone.

If he can’t get a game at Brighton which PL club do you think is his level?

Ones with dinosaur managers who don’t care about CBs ball playing and only about their defending.

Duffy can defend well and is a massive threat for any set pieces but if you're looking for him to move the ball around in possession he just isnt that type of player.
I think someone already mentioned it but it won't be long before Egan and clark will be ahead of him in the ireland pecking order if he isnt starting consistently.

For all his obvious limitations though Duffy has in fact been our best and most effective player the last couple of campaigns. He dominates our defence and is us conceding so few, and still probably our biggest attacking threat too. For those reasons, whilst I wouldn't start him for most Premier league teams, I'd still have him second or third name on our team sheet.

Burnley would be a perfect move for him if they sell Ben Mee (unlikely) or James Tarkowski in the summer.
Also, Crystal Palace to possible replace Gary Cahill seeing as he probably has no more than another season left before he'll retire. Duffy isn't good enough in possession to play in a side that want's to play out from the back time and time again.

Duffy starts today but is not looking good, very sloppy in possession more of a risk than a solid defender.
