Yep. He is a bit of a forgotten man for us at times but he has been a bit of a rock for Newcastle when he has played this season. Based on club form it would be Clark and Egan as centre backs

Does anyone think this campaign is his last shot, or Kenny give him a go for the first WC qualifiers? Experience could prove huge and would be only 32 should we qualify... yes it is a way off
I don't agree with THAT, in the workplace!

32 is not old for a central defender. There is every possibility Kenny could include him (if his form is similar to now). The mixture of youth and experience is good for any squad. Don't think we are going to have enough young players coming through that we can dispense with the services of most of our senior players even if Kenny wanted to. One of the problems to this point as we all know has been the lack of young players coming through.

Ruled out for the rest of the season with ankle-ligament damage.
Bad news for sure.

Gutted for him, could not for the life of me see why people picked Kevin Long ahead of him even if he lacked a bit of playing time, underrated, remember Wales away in NL was a bad game but apart from that been solid enough... SHOULD we qualify, any chance of him making the squad?

He deserves another chance as first choice. That said, I’ve been really impressed by Long when he’s played. He should get the heck out of Burnley and be first choice somewhere
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Balls. Clark is a big loss and was hoping he'd cement his place in beside Duffy as the main partnership.

Terrible news.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

So you were pretty much hoping our best centre back John Egan wouldn't play?

I reckon Muf forgot about him or wants a 3 man back line.

I mean't Egan as well in a back 3. Should've worded it better.

Most people would agree apart from the manager

He would suit this system a lot better than Duffy IMO
