I think population is key here between the countries and the prominence of football now and historically.

Newport schooling Boro with a training ground routine corner. Something MON would be guilty of.

Based on this guy's form and who he has scored against, I wouldn't have an issue with him being in the squad.

It's a pity he's pushing 31 and playing at a low level. Mick also doesn't have the luxury of trying him in friendlies.

That said it's very hard to ignore his impressive scoring against much stronger opposition. He's one of our 3 regularly scoring strikers this season in English football along with McGoldrick & Curtis.

Would be nice to see him get a move to a higher league in the summer.

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Yah I missed that. Didn't realize his scoring record was that good.  Thumbs Up

Funny thing is i'm staying a night in Luton in a couple of weeks and checked to see if they were playing at home that evening as I was gonna head to it but they're not. Had a look at their squad last week on wikipedia and was surprised that they have 4/5 Irish lads in their squad.

Would like to see them get into the championship from an Irish perspective.
