Still not the best centre back for Sheff Utd today! All the Irish players had decent games though and Rudiger was poor to be fair in this game.

McGoldrick on bench despite not being fit enough to train. They could have done with him tonight, Blades looking a bit rusty.

Hendrick had the same number of assists and goals as McGoldrick last season. McGoldrick is given all kinds of allowances because he's alleged to play as a "10". Yet there's no such mitigation for Hendrick who's played all across the midfield for Burnley without being allowed to settle in any one position. Heh.

I don't recall excuses being made for Long either when he was playing on either wing and behind Pelle under his first couple of managers at Southampton.

Different rules for Didzy, though!

doesn’t say much for their squad - I think they might struggle this season - a poor opening few games and the feeling around the club could well be different to how it’s been the last 18 months.

Sent off after 13 minutes against Villa. Long ball over the top and he was caught the wrong side of Watkins. Ended up pulling out of him and the ref rules it as denying a goal scoring opportunity.

Similar to the red card he received in the first game back after lockdown last season.
