He was fine on the ball, but his defensive work wasn't always great. He's yet to impress me in an Irish jersey; certainly he seems more comfortable in a back 3 with Sheffield that he is in a back 4 with us.
We're decent enough..

Wasn’t overly impressed with Egan. Definitely happier with Keogh In  beside Duffy

Nor should it be. Duffy is never going to be Paul McGrath, but he has proved his worth at this stage.

Of course but if he only plays 1 league cup game between now and then no player should be untouchable.

So we should pick a lad who has done f**k all for Ireland ahead of him? This isn’t Football Manager!

Well if you have one player sitting on the bench for a month before a game and another player playing at the same level week in week out what would logic suggest you do? What do other nations do? It should defo be given serious consideration.

Duffy is our best centre-half, for all his faults, what other teams do has absolutely no bearing.

If Mick was looking to change the entire way we play, like Potter has done at Brighton, then yes, Egan should and would be considered. He isn't looking to change anything though, nor likely ever will, even if he gets a contract extension at Kenny's expense, so draw yer own conclusions. If Egan was to make the team it would more likely be at Keogh's expense rather than Duffy's.

Picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.....

If the next game was in June, you'd have a point.
