Anyone ever make vodka jelly ?

I've tasted this numerous times but never made it.
 
The established science online seems to suggest using about 75%-80% of the recommended liquid split 50/50 between boilking water and vodka. i.e if the packet says use a litre, use 400ml of water and 400ml of vodka.
 
Anyway it seems a bit trial and error and as I need this for tomorrow night has anyone any experience of successfully making this ?
 
I made vodka jelly babies before and it was a disaster, as was vodka skittles, so I want to make this 3rd time lucky.

That said I was falling all over the shop after drinking it, as it's impossible to estimate how much you're drinking, and also it takes longer than a normal shot to take effect due to it being largely solid, rather than liquid!!

Used to make this years ago and if I remember rightly I used to make it with 1 paket of jelly, 3/4 of a pint of vidka and 1/4 pint of water. Another good thing to make; inject oranges/satsumas with vodka/gin/tequilla or spirit of your choice. Ahhh the fun student nurses have!! Just occurred to me though, unless yer a nurse/doctor/vet/junkie it may be difficult to get yer hands on a needle and syringe.Thumbs%20Up

When we were in the states we always had vodka infused icepops. Bought those icepop holders and just filled with vodka and orange... a nice treat!!
Couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel
