Watching it now. Poor fella. Love Jonny Walters. Absolute legend of a man. One of my favourite players. Was immense in 2014/2015.

Watching it now on +1. Very powerful interview.....he's had some terrible tragedies in his life and spoke about it movingly.
He's a great man.

Was a powerful interview alright. Was expecting a lighthearted watch about his career and asking about how Mick will do etc... Knew about his mam but some awful run of bad luck. Was seriously courageous to come on and open up about all these tragedies. Fair play to him. Absolute legend on and off the pitch.

Indeed, and he's probably helping other people to open up about grief by speaking like that. It cannot be easy to go national television and be so open.....fair play to him. I'm glad that he has his wife and his children to support him, they seem like a great family.

Couldn't watch it all the way through, very difficult. I hope he knows the esteem he's held in over here. Easily our best player of the last decade . One of the best to wear the green and it really comes off how much it meant to him

Just watched it. Fair play to him. Best way is to talk about these things. Love the big man. Tubirdy is an awful eejit and kept hitting in when Jon was trying to get his story out. Trying to finish off his sentences for him. f**k off ryan you arsehole

Not a fan of Tubridy but to be fair to him, I think he was butting in, in an attempt to stop Walters getting more upset. Fill the silence to allow him to compose himself and go again.

Not a fan either of Tubridy but he was definitely trying to stop embarrassing dead silences when Walters couldn't get the words out. If he had have waited it could have been 1 minute of awkward silence on live tv.

There’s nothing awkward about a man breaking down on a talk show when discussing his brother & mother passing. Tubridy is probably the worst interviewer I’ve ever seen. He completely ruined that interview for me. That said, Johnny

Obviously losing his mother at a young age was terrible but losing his brother and unborn baby and then getting the diagnosis about his daughter in the same week is absolutely tragic.
Difficult job for Tubridy and can understand why he was trying to fill the silences but why did he persist with interrupting him when he was speaking. A brutal interviewer. Jonny
