Not good. Too reminiscent of 2012 with key players fighting time for fitness.  Do we chance him in the first game? Does he worsen the injury in that game ruling him out of the tournament? Do we wait until the Belgium game?   The spectre of Daryl Murphy is looming.

No don't think so.

I reckon he will play Long, and Wes in behind him with McClean on the left, Whelan, McCarthy and an unfit Hendrick on the right.

McGeady will then replace Hendrick at some stage.

An optimist is a fool with no experience.

Better to expect the worst and hope for the best.

Great to hear he took a full part in training. Hopefully no reaction from it, a massive player for us. A game changer..

Will be interesting who replaces him. Our squad is very bare after first 11.

I honestly don't know if he was truly fit vs Sweden, he almost played the decoy role.  Imo, better to start with Keane, then the statue of Murph as a sub, or even vise vera.  I don't see McClean causing a real impact up front, he is better as a 65 min sub.
