Utd will play a strong enough side as its the 1st game where all the players who were rested after the world cup are back. Cant see it being a sellout though. Big signs up outside FAI shop / Carrolls trying to sell tickets for it aswell

No worries about you going Johnny sure ye wouldn't be allowed.

I have two tickets, but a mate has promised to take them off me. If for some reason that falls through I will go, just not to waste the tickets.

I'm going for a number of reasons, as an LOI fans I look forward to seeing how a mixed team get on against a half strength United team, as a United fan I look forward to watching some of their younger players in pre season action, I look forward to seeing the new stadium, and finally what the f*ck else would I be doing on a wednesday evening? Great excuse to get out for a few pints and a football match.

Will be very surprised if it's a sell-out.

1.  People can't go to all the games anymore, everyone's tightening belts.
2.  People know friendlies are sh*te.
3.  United will play a load of reserves/young fellas.
4.  L of I fans (those on here anyhow) seem to be boycotting it (and rightly).

I thought it would sell out quick but after seeing the price of the tickets i wouldnt be surprised if it didnt. 15-20 years ago charging over the top prices for friendlies would of been the done thing but anyone can go to see United on the cheap now a days for a proper match. A load of my mates are United fans and i dont think any of them are going.
