He looked really good at Longford.  Maybe he is one of those players that plays really well for certain managers.

Possibly, wouldnt be surprised if Cronin just wasn't able to get it out of him

Still, not title winning ambition I wouldn't have thought, again, hope he proves me wrong

Don't know much about the lad, but he was in the First Division team of the year last year so can't be that bad. How come Bray fans wanted rid of one of the best players in the league? Fenn has worked with him previously at Longford too so hopefully know the lad has the right talent/attitude.

Mainly attitude related and him being a selfish player, never wanted to pass

Would've kept him given the option myself but I would've been in the minority

Don't think it says much for Cork that they're going for lads like that, hardly pushing for the league type signings, hope he proves me wrong though

Our budget won't be at that level for next season.

100% we're not going for the league next year, safely in mid table and we'll be okay. Complete rebuild necessary.

Who's going to cough up the rest of the monies, originally supposed to be Foras and the FAI, between them they couldn't afford a subuteo ground.

Good news Kevin and you knock it,Foras have put a lot of work into this. They identified the land in Glanmire, got it on a 99 year lease from Cork County Council for 1 euro a year. They then put in for planning permission and got it for clubhouse and 7 pitches, great achievement. All local politicians on board backing the project, which hopefully will be completed with money from government grants.Foras were never going to put money which we don't have into it.Look at some of the sport grants given today.Connaught rugby got 10 million,Lenister rugby got another 10 million.CIT college here in Cork got 9 million for a indoor sports arena.100 million a year is given out in grants, hopefully we'll get the rest of the money in the next few years to complete it.

I really fail to see were Kev is knocking this? He asked a question and made a rather factual statement. It really is nuts how people on here and indeed elsewhere read and take from a post what they want instead of what is actually written or said. Kev would the last person to knock this development.

It's going to be a FAI football centre of excellence run by Foras.Cork City will use it as it's training base, but any clubs in the south can apply to use it as well.

Kyron Stabana signed on loan from Wimbledon with more loan deals and permanent deals due by the end of the week. We should have a much better idea of where we will be going into the season soon.

Possibly, but at least we know what we are going to get with the current squad and are being realistic about our prospects this season. It's not going to be like last season it was one disgraceful display to the next from players who were meant to be among the best in the league.

Cork have sold their 10% sell-on clauses for Browne, O'Connor, and Maguire for around e500k, apparently clearing a debt that allowed them to be granted a license for this season.

Short-term, it's obviously a good deal, but in the long-term, you have to wonder if they'd make more from the sell-on clauses than 500k.

The article also suggested they also had to pay another 6 figure tax sum, this only after agreeing an 80K fee with revenue.

What sort of clowns are running the club?
